Can you tell the readers a
bit about the band's history ?
We have been jammin' since 99'
we have 4 core members and our drummer is just joined 6 months ago, Aj
Barrette he came from still
remains. We werent really doing much but jammin' and we got the
opportunity to do a record august 2004 we did it went on tour sept 04
and have been on the road and done another record. We basically havent
stopped!
Can you speak to us about your new album called " Temptation Come My Way
" ?
Its been recorded for over a
year and we just put it out! its basically been hell on earth. We have
spent almost two years writing recording and getting it ready to come
out. So it feels great to have it out. Basically its a striaght up heavy
metal record.
Who is responsible for song writing ?
Josh and Trav write the riffs
we all get togather jam them out. Josh writes the lyrics.
How did you proceed for the composition ?
We rented an office space out
and jammed 5 hours a day for about 3 months.
It was a killer thing to just be able to jam and write and i think it
comes through on the record. I think its a fun record... but freaking
CRUSHING at the same time. tottally what we are about.
Can you speak to us about the recording sessions ?
Memphis TN. jan9-feb8. paul
ebersold (three doors down, saliva, sister hazel) basically we had a
freaking blast everyday... grilled out, lifted weights, worked on tunes.
It ruled. paul is a really good friend so it was more like a vacation
that work. everything we did in the studio we just wanted to make sure
that we were into it and that it sounded jammin' to us. If it made us
smile we kept it. We brought about 25 songs/ideas in... so it was cool
to pick the most killer stuff.
What are the lyrics talking about ? Where do you find inspiration ?
Temptation come my way is about
resisting temptation and dealing with all the crap that comes with
growing up and being a man. The record is pretty much just about stuff
from our lives. faith, addiction, sex, touring, stuff like that.
hopefully people will draw something from the record, learn from our
mistakes be inspired....
What are your favourite songs out of this album? And what makes them so
special for you ?
Temptation come my way and
forget my name... are my favs. Temptation because its so freaking fun to
jam and its so heavy and lyrically its powerfull! forget my name is
basically about everything sucking at home and just wanted to get out of
town, get on the road and just escape. I really feel josh on this song,
its one of my fav vocal tracks. I meant that one.
Which are the artists who influenced you or whom you appreciate
particularly ?
Metallica, Pantera, guns
and roses, cinderella, acdc, boston, stp, COC... we re all over
the place with the stuff we like and what inspires us.
rock, country, metal, classic
rock, 80's.
What's your opinion about the international metal scene ?
I think its pretty soft. to
many emos you know. People say there playing heavy metal but it sounds
like emo rock to me. I' m def not pissed about it but to me heavy metal
is about pyro, excess, LOUD, live, long hair, playing by your own rules.
Ill give you a couple moster ballads... but sheesh. If you need to blow
of some steam hit the weight room and quit cying.
Do you have any funny or strange stories about the band you can share
with us ?
Everyday on tour is an
experience. we have been in a drive by in compton... a tornado almost
dropped on a venue we were playing. DANGER FOLLOWS US!
Are there any plans for an upcoming tour ?
Hopefully we can just get on one. Right now we are headlining and we
will be supporting asap. We love to tour and play live. its killer.
What are your projects for the future ?
More metal! we are working on
new songs already so who knows.

?
Sure . Stay heavy, and keep on
supporting heavy meatl music on the air waves and live and in concert.
Anyone can sit on the couch and play PSP and watch american idol. screw
that, get in a mosh pit.
