In early 2003 I was playing guitar in few bands and I decided that it’s right time to start something on my own. I had few friends in my mind at the time and rest of the folks I found on the internet. Actually all happened pretty fast, record deal etc. and it’s have been quite interesting journey so far.

Well, I don’t really even want to try. I always tell them to check us out from the internet. I have no understanding about genres in general and I don’t even care about those that much ;) I guess it’s have to be something between Metal/Pop/Gothic/Experimental, can’t say for sure ;)

It’s all about short stories, we didn’t want to think it as entirety when we started composing "Mimesis", we just wanted to concentrate songs as there were totally separated pieces. I was a bit worried about this approach, but I’m glad it worked out so well after all. I think that music nowadays doesn’t challenge people too much, so we wanted to make something a bit more complicated than we did with "Unreal".

It depends, sometimes we can start it even from the drums or sometimes is just something you hear in your head, it doesn’t really matter. Personally I try to avoid composing with guitar because I have long history with it and some how I feel it a bit limiting.

Everything went extremely smoothly but for me it was a bit mess. I did know what everyone else needs to play but I didn’t have lyrics for my self, just melodies. Of course I had my first writers block ever and it wasn’t that funny when people are counting on you at studio. Anyway, it’s always fun to try different things and I learned that this approach doesn’t work for me that well, next time I have all lyrics figured out before we do anything.

I don’t write lyrics before I know how the song is going to be like. I want lyrics to match the feeling what I get from the song when I listen to it. So I think you can find lots of variations in Mimesis.

I think it has to be song called "Paper trails", I like the arrangement of the song what is a bit extraordinary. I also like how the mood keeps evolving and changing in different parts of the song.

We did music video from a song called "You deserve more". It’s also our first single from the Mimesis and it’s getting lots of airplay at Finish radio stations.

When we wrote "Mimesis", I was listening Yann Tiersen a lot, not so sure if you can hear it that well in our album thought. I have been listening lots of Tori Amos, Fair to midland, muse and stuff like that lately.

There is always something weird going on with us, but it has already came so common that hard to pick anything special up, couple days ago it was raining in our rehearsal room although is 3 floors under the ground ;) Luckily we didn’t loose any gear this time.
