Can you tell us more about your new
album called « Xenosapien » ?
( lenzig) This is an album of all the
things cephalic hass dun just way more defined and focused, its got
everything you’ve come to love about cephalic and a few new suprises.
its got some kiler artwork to bring it all to life..
Who is responsible for songwriting ?
Everyone in the whole contributed to the making of
this album, in everyway.
How did you proceed for the
composition ?
At this point we just write stuff away from practice
then bring it for everybody else to add their parts to it and I just
from there, until it is a completed cephalic track.
Can you speak to us about
the recording sessions ?
The recording of this album was very fun, we did a lot of the tracking
ourselves this time around except for the vocals and drums, we did those
with davoe otero then he mixed while we were on the road with brujeria
Where do you find inspiration for the lyrics ?
From different books, and everyday life,any thing can be inspiring if
your looking for the inspiration
Who created the artwork ?
This guy who works at relapse his name is orion landau and he has done
stuff for quite a few relapse bands, we are really pleased with the
outcome.its really sick.
What’s your favourite track on « Xenosapien » and why ?
I would have to say the track vaporized, because it’s a total volcanic
holocaust written about smoking herb through a silver surfer vaporizer
and its gets you vaporized…
What are your favourite bands and all times albums ?
Iron maiden "killers", The Scorpions "in trance", Riot "restless breed",
Judas Priest "sad wings of destiny", Hallows Eve "tales of terror",
Queens of the Stone Age "songs for the deaf" to name a few.
What’s your opinion about the international metal scene ?
Its strarting to get big like it was in the 80’s and becoming a lot more
unified, not as segrated as it was in the past.
Can you remember your first gig ? How did it go ?
I might be able to but I was really stoned
Are there any plans for an upcoming tour ?
We are on the road here in the uk right now with akercocke,ted maul and
burning skies, and just did parts of western Europe, we will be touring
the usa immediately after with Necrophagist, Cattle Decapitation,
Decapitated and 5 others called the summer slaughter tour then we will
be back in Europe in august to do some fests and some dates with dying
fetus. That’s it for now
Do you have funny or strange stories about the band you can share
with us ?
It might be funny to you but it is to me, we played a show in belium
with napalm death and we were on the stage watching them smoking a tulip
of some super killer dutch grass and hash, me and our bus driver were
smoking away and a few locals thought they could hang with the big dogs
and we ended up getting those dudes so high they were lost couldn’t walk
and were just destroyed, I would call it a severe cephalic carnage, I
think we even got danny harera (napalms drummer) a contact high
What are your projects for the future ?
A new halls of amenti cd sometime this winter,maybe each one of us do a
solo albumsince we now have our own studio, sighn and record some bands
to our hybrid records labal. Play more shows in support of xenosapien
And as a conclusion, can you say some words for my radio show called
